Honored to be on the 2018 City Harvest Host Committee supporting their Summer in the City Event! They’re celebrating their 35th anniversary with a delicious event with 40 of the city’s hippest chefs, restaurants and mixologists will provide sips and bites to over 700 attendees, alongside exciting entertainment and interactive experiences. Get tastes from some of my favorite restaurants – Meatball Shop, Seamores and Made Nice and more!
City Harvest picks up over 59 million pounds of food a year from grocery stores, restaurants, manufacturers, businesses and greenmarkets, that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it to 500 soup kitchens and food pantries throughout the five boroughs. Pretty impressive and amazing.
