There’s nothing better on a cold winter day than cuddling up on your couch with thick and creamy (but not-to-sweet) hot cocoa.
City Bakery in NYC makes delicious hot chocolate (has the consistency of melted chocolate- thick and very delicious!) but if you don’t want to wait on line, or you’re looking for something a little healthier AND can’t get your hands on Nibmor's Drinking Chocolate, make it yourself with my concoction below.
Easy.
Healthy.
Sweet.
Warming.
Comforting.
Delicious.
INGREDIENTS:
– 1/2 cup Raw Cacao/Un-Sweetened Organic Cocoa
– 2 cups Coconut Milk (or your choice of dairy/non-dairy milk)
– 1/2 cup water
– 1/4 cup Coconut Palm Sugar (or to taste)
– 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
DIRECTIONS:
– Add all ingredients to pot and simmer until hot.
– Stir occassionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom/curdling
– Voila!
P.S I don’t use microwaves, hence, why I prefer to make my hot chocolate (from scratch) on the stove! Find out why here.
Put in a pretty mug and Enjoy!
be warm. be sweet. be well.
xoxo
be well,
